Dead and Gone

The newest Sookie Stackhouse novel "Dead and Gone" was a book I finished in a day and a half. The supernatural and ordinary worlds are becoming even more crowded. The "outing" of the were or two natured seems to be going well in the little town of Bon Temps for Sam the Bartender and a few others until Crystal Norris is found dead. Thus our new mystery begins.
Relatives are trouble; Not only does Sookie have to help solve the death of her sister in-law her Faerie great-grandfather Niall has added a new complication to her life. It seems his enemy Breandan has discovered her existence and will try to use her as a pawn in the civil war breaking out between the two princes. On the vampire front things aren't much less complicated because Sookie isn't sure how to deal with her strong blood bond and "marriage " to Eric the Vampire.
The conclusion of this book is a little sad but I remain hooked and can't wait to see what happens next. How about you?

  1. I didn't know you could marry vampires. And there's such a thing as a Southern vampire? What do they say: "I'm fixin' to suck your blood, y'all"?

  2. Should this be on a list for "if you liked Twilight"? I remember Kids' librarians doing something like that for the Harry Potter books.

  3. Anno8 I'm not sure if this series should be added to the "If you liked Twilight thread or not; I haven't read any of the Meyers books yet.
